More About me
A Google Champion, certified Trainer, Innovator, and Coach, Daren is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator and an Apple Teacher with a passion for pragmatic and effective use of AI in education.
Daren is a dynamic and engaging presenter who delivers keynotes, coaching, training, workshops and events both in the UK and internationally.
He is dedicated to helping teachers integrate effective pedagogy, with the aid of technology in the classroom, in order to remove barriers to learning.
Daren was named in the #edtech50 2021 and in 2023 proudly won the Skills Development Champion Award at The Edufuturists Awards and was a Silver Winner for Digital Innovator of the Year in the 2023 National Teaching Awards.
He is a member of the AI in Education Initiative Practitioners' Advisory Panel and of the Digital Futures Group, a not-for-profit group of educationalists offering support and guidance through system generosity.
Daren has also published What’s Their Why? Exploring Motivation and Engagement in Learning. Writing this book was instrumental in helping Daren understand his own thought processes and ultimately, led to securing a resulting diagnosis of ADHD.
